Greetings!

Some of you may remember me, I'm Yume and as you can see, I now play Lord Shen from Kung Fu Panda 2 in this lovely comm. It was suggested to me and when I went and looked I said to myself 'Ooo, this will be perfect for my crazy birdie!'

This whole Kingdom and Faction thing eludes me as I'm a complete n00b to this comm, but I'll poke about and hopefully figure it out.

But seriously, I'm stoked to see Lord Shen around... it's about time we had more beastmen representation along with villains. Hmm... well, the kingdoms more or less make up the political faces of the setting. They're the sides characters can choose to align with to duke out with each other for control over the empire. Factions are more ideological-based within kingdoms. Consider them, like, political parties if anything else.

Lord Shen's ambitious enough to start his own, really, and he has all the time he needs in-game to start up one for himself.

I haven't played a villain in forever and a day so this should be fun. I get to spread evil all over the place and skewer dudes? Muah ha ha.

Actually, Shen drumming up his own kingdom was pretty much was I figured I'd go for. Hopefully I'll be able to pull that off. ^^;

And make a bunch of cannons and fireworks which... well, he can be thankful enough won't be thrown back at him. But yeah, Shen totally has the means to start up his own kingdom. mostly through conquests, but he's good with that.

Sheeeennn. Kung Fu Panda series is awesome. I can't wait to see how he plays out in a place like this.

Heee, he's already been loads of fun to play and I haven't even properly started yet.

Sounds good, because I've been spending the better part of an hour reading all the setting and whatnot info and I'm... bordering on overwhelmed. Someone else to be a n00b with me might help me feel a little less derfy.

To be honest, I've no idea where to start... ^^;;;

Don't worry about it. It took me a week to read all the information and get some semblance of an intro post up. So if you've read everything in about an hour? Kudos.

It seems like a lot of people start out with their character finding the crystal and making some entry based on that. I'm still on my intro post and trying to figure out where to go from there. So yeah. We can be noobs in the same boat together!

Also, thank you for the tip re: starting posts. That was one of the things I couldn't quite pin down--what am I to do to get the ball rolling? ^^; So much more difficult than the bad old days of the Nexus when you just threw something at the comm, but much more interesting, too.

I figure Xykon and Lord Shen might make good old enemies. Both after world domination, but totally different in methods, I would guess? :)

I'd have to read up on your character, but it'd be kinda cool to have a foe right out of the starting gate. XD

Well, long story short... he's an evil dick in as many large and petty ways as possible, whose joy in (un)life is the suffering and misery of others. And who wants to conquer the world. So just a little different than Shen's style of evil, and I can readily imagine them having had a... "difference of opinion" previously.

Oooo, I do like this idea. It seems that, yes, they have got different and conflicting styles of evil, and that evil is my good or words to that effect.
